Inspired Living for Creative People
“Be brave enough to live life creatively.
The creative place where no one else has ever been.”
– Alan Alda –
Who is a creative person?
You are.
You might not currently consider yourself to be creative. You might even hold the belief that there isn’t a single creative bone in your body. Or, like me, perhaps you already identify yourself as an artist of some kind, possessing the skills of a musician, painter, writer, or as some other kind of artistic or creative talent. Either way, without an iota of doubt, please realize this:
You are a Creative Person.
You Possess the Power to Shape and Create Your Life into Whatever You Desire it to Be.
As a human, you are an inherent creator — you exist to create.
Your creation, ultimately, is and will be the sum of your thoughts, emotions, decisions, and actions as experienced through the filter of your subjective consciousness.
Creating the life and experiences you desire for yourself is an art form in and of itself. We create our careers, our relationships, our bodies, and our environments. Your life is simultaneously that of creator and creation.
Another way of looking at this is that you are simultaneously a work of art and the artist. Your artistic tools are your thoughts, beliefs, choices, and actions. As you learn how to masterfully wield the tools available, you effectively become a Master creator capable of creating wonderful Masterpieces.
I desire to be a more effective creative person and creator, and it is my hope and belief that my journey may help you on yours.
Whether you wish to expand your skills as a writer, improve your body with fresh creative recipes, or venture to design and live a productive and purpose-driven life, or even foster loving and fulfulling relationships (with yourself in addition to others), I will approach such topics from a creative perspective in hopes of cultivating and increasing my own skills to sculpt and shape the life I’ve always wanted.
As I learn, experiment, and explore, I’ll undoubtedly discover that there is a vast array of paints and brushes available to me (and available to you, too)! Let’s encouraged each other to color outside the lines. 😉
I invite you to share in my journey, as we collectively sharpen our creative skills and become better conscious creators.
Becoming a great Master artist and creator is not necessarily easy. Neither you or I are going to wake up one morning to suddenly discover that we’ve magically become the next Leonardo da Vinci. Just as with any skill, conscious creation takes focus, practice and persistence.
“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.”
– Calvin Coolidge –
And remember…
“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t — you’re right.”
– Henry Ford –
It’s a good thing creating a singular, perfect Masterpiece isn’t the point of being an artist and creator. Although you can certainly aim for a particular or specific goal or outcome, your ultimate “destination” is your continuing journey along the path of active and conscious creation. Along the way, either of us might encounter writer’s block, or find that we appear to lack the creative drive needed to continue. This site can help.
Let’s strive to live each moment of our lives as conscious creators, actively taking part in our own creations. <3
“Life is perpetually creative because it contains in itself that surplus which ever
overflows the boundaries of the immediate time and space, restlessly pursuing
its adventure of expression in the varied forms of self-realization.”
– Rabindranath Tagore –
