To be a creative person is to be a loving person.  Creating is a loving act.   When you create, you share yourself with others.  To create is to love.

Whether it be writing, acting, singing, dancing, sculpting, painting, and so on – many people long to create in some way, sharing themselves and their passion with the world.  And yet, many are afraid to do so.

Are you such a person?  If so, you may feel as though you have a beautiful message buried deep within your heart that you long so desperately to share,  but fear doing so because it would inevitably involve opening up your heart and exposing it to the world, making you vulnerable.  …Vulnerable to what, exactly?

Creating is like being in love.  When you love someone, you open yourself up.  You show your true self.  You expose your heart.  Sure, there’s the potential of experiencing pain.  You might experience rejection.  You might get into an argument.  The other person might desire other experiences outside of you, wanting something you cannot offer.  Your ego might suffer.  Either way, when all is said and done, you’re still left having loved.  True love does not bend with the remover to remove.  No one can take that away from you.

If you close and protect yourself out of fear of experiencing pain, you’ll simultaneously close and protect yourself from experiencing the pure joy and beauty of love.  This same sense of joy and love can be experienced when you share yourself and your creations with the world.

When you create, you open yourself up.  You communicate and express a message from deep within.  You bare your mind, heart and soul, wearing your desires, hopes and dreams on your sleeve.  Sure, there’s the potential of getting hurt.  You might “fail”.  Your message might be misinterpreted, or not come through at all.  You might screw up and make mistakes, singing a wrong note, or taking a wrong dance step.  You might not adequately express yourself and your message.  You may receive harsh criticism. Your ego might suffer.  …And when all is said and done, either way, you’re still left having created.  No one can take that away from you.

Why deny yourself and others the joy of sharing yourself and your message with the world?

Share and create love in your life and in the lives of others.

The world needs to hear your voice.  Don’t be afraid to sing.
